Good Morning Moonstone Hunters!
There must have been a bumper crop of Moonstones harvested in the early hours as we wake from our slumber to find even more groats in the royal coffers! We are very pleased to announce that the Mama's Boys Troupe Box has now been unlocked and can now be chosen by backers of the 'Troupe Box' pledge level or added on to any pledge as an add-on!

The Wasp's Sting - Short Story

Now, as a little bonus for all the Faerie fans celebrating the impending arrival of your Queen, we have a short story to share with you written by Mike Greenway:
THE WASP'S STING
Wasp was in a bad mood that morning. He was generally always in a bad mood but this morning he was more ornery than usual. Another night and another intrusion into the Wyrdwood by a whole troupe of humans. Had they no idea that this wood is private? Had they no respect for the Faerie's privacy at all? “Its not as if we spend our time in their rancid towns and taverns” he snorted. “There’s plenty of room in Tauber for everyone but the Wyrdwood has been Faerie territory since the good old days when the Dominion had created proper order in the world, before these fools spoilt it all”.
The wood was a dark and mysterious place that suited Wasp and his kind just fine. He didn’t like daylight and the perpetual gloom was ideal for his adjusted eyesight. These encroachments were however getting more frequent and tiresome, and Diana, the fearsome Faerie Queen, had summoned him only last week and told him to be increasingly vigilant.
He knew the reason of course. Humans were loath to venture into the Wyrdwood but greed would generally overcome fear in these lowlifes. They were after these new mysterious, ethereal stones that sometimes emerged after a fresh moon. Even he knew that the Wizards Guild would reward anyone handsomely for one of these strange objects but if they emerged in the wood then obviously they belonged to the Faeries. “If anyone was going to get rich then it rightfully should be us” he mused.
His bad mood was a direct result of last night’s incursion. It was Teetoe who alerted him to the humans sneaking about and groveling on the ground. When she first spotted them, just before dawn, she flew towards them and startled the fat oaf who was leading them. “What are you doing here?” she enquired in her deceptively demure tones. As usual with humans, his reply was less than civil but she knew that they were trying to harvest Moonstones. She also knew where Wasp was patrolling and so subconsciously lead by her siren’s song, the humans found themselves following her through the glade to where Wasp was positioned.
It was all over in seconds and the single Moonstone that had been harvested would be presented to Diana. One human did manage to escape but javelins impaled the other two. It’s not that Wasp felt guilty at all about that. No, he was in a bad mood because he had lost one of his javelins and it was all their fault.

Evening all!
The results for the Free Additional Character vote are in and we have a winner! But what an incredibly close result! All 4 concepts were obviously well liked. :) So, without further ado:
4th place - 14 Votes - Natty the Rogue
3rd place - 18 Votes - Gertrude the Faerie Hunter
2nd place - 34 Votes - The Goblin King
And that means, our winner, with 36 Votes is Diana, Queen of the Fae! All backers who pledge £58 or more will received this character for free with their orders. We will be instructing Shane Cook, our fabulous concept artist to get started on her artwork right away and hope to share some concept art for her before the end of the campaign!
And, if your vote didn’t win then don’t worry – we do plan to make all three of the other miniatures at some point soon!

Starter Set Box Art

Dear Moonstone Hunters,
We've recently had some absolutely stunning artwork created by the extremely talented Micah Epstein for our Deluxe Rulebook Cover and it occurred to us it would be pretty sweet as full colour artwork for the Starter Set box as well! What do you guys think?
We've been talking this out in the GKG HQ, and were going to make this a stretch goal initially, but following on from the tremendous first week, and amazing support you have all shown our game, we have decided to just unlock it right away and make this part of the package for all Starter Set and Complete Wave 1 pledge level backers!
