Dear Moonstone Hunters,

We are now in the final 48hours and what an incredible campaign it has been so far! With all of our stretch goals unlocked we are absolutely over the moon and just could't wait to get started on production, so we haven't! Eric and Flintlock are being master moulded this week, and our next batch of sculpts have been commissioned with Raul Tavares.

Speaking of Raul, we though we would share the interactive Sketchfabs of the Barony Box set with you all today. You can really see for your self how incredibly detailed and characterful Raul's sculpts are! If you like what you see here, we can promise you a lot more like this over the next few weeks and months!

Diana and Boulder Stat Cards
over 7 years ago – Sat, Nov 05, 2016 at 07:18:27 AM

To all Goblins, Faeries and friends of the forest,

We have two new characters available for you to try out:

Diana, Queen of the Fae

Diana, may appear at first quite low on energy by Faerie standards but this is because she Feeds on Fear, sucking energy from enemy characters either for herself to use or another Faerie near the victim, whipping her followers into a vicious frenzy. She is also capable of dealing out a fair amount of ranged damage with her Horrifying Visions which can be powered up to devastating effect by draining the health of nearby friendly Faeries. Finally, while she would ideally prefer to stay out of Melee, her Shadow Dance signature move allows her to reflect back any wounds she suffers onto the enemy who inflicted them before following up with her own attack once their plans are laid bare.

This is a brand new character design and we haven't had a chance to play test her at all yet so she is very likely to be tweaked between now and release, but we thought some of you might be keen to get an idea of the play style we have in mind ahead of time!

You can get Diana's Stat Card and Paper Doll here:

Paper Doll: https://moonstonethegame.files.wordpress.com/2016/11/moonstone-faeries-paper-dolls-v1-1.pdf

Boulder

Boulder is a very friendly Troll, and he loves nothing more than to give hugs. Unfortunately after some of his very best hugs, Boulder's 'friends' tend to go rather limp and then stop talking, forever. Strange. Nevermind, the rocks don't seem to care. In fact if anything, they seem to quite like it.

In game, Boulder is a tough melee brawler and can add some much needed backbone to a Goblin or Faerie troupe. Its best to give him some space though...

Maps and Treasure
over 7 years ago – Fri, Nov 04, 2016 at 03:07:21 PM

Hey Moonstone hunters,

As some of you may know, after our recent surge in pledges we have been searching high and low for a suitable new stretch goal to aim for during this final week.

Maps

We are very conscious that promising more models as a goal would inevitably add timing pressures. However, one of our awesome backers made a suggestion that we absolutely love - a Map of Tauber, home of all the magical creatures of Moonstone the game!

We are confident that this goal won’t impact at all on our main production threads and is something we can offer as a Kickstarter Exclusive Freebie to all backers pledging £58 or more.

Treasure

As part of searching for new stretch goals this week we also spent quite a lot of time looking at all our game components and trying to find quality upgrades. The Moonstone Dice (D4’s) was top of our list to investigate and we came across these stunningly beautiful dice, cast in Opalite Glass and hand finished.

NOW, before you get too excited - unfortunately they cost a Baron’s ransom! We have been shopping around and the best we could do is offer a Set of 7 D4's (the required number of Moonstones in a full game) as an add-on for £35. I’ll be honest, we have some hesitation in even mentioning these as we can't possibly afford them as a free upgrade and it would be slightly outrageous to offer such a pricy add-on as a stretch goal, so we aren’t going to do that. But we also didn't want to keep them from you. So here we are, asking if anyone would want them, at that price? If so, let us know and we could create the add-on option in the pledge manager.

Happy hunting,

Just wanted to share a little blog post we found today on Fan Plastic Little Men about their first experiences of Moonstone game play:

"Everyone that has played it has really enjoyed it, the deep shenanigans and the tactical synergy between the various troupe members has a lot of promise for game longevity"
