over 6 years ago – Fri, Jan 05, 2018 at 05:01:39 PM

Dear Moonstone Hunters,

Back in Update 64 we featured an unboxing by YeOldeBattleReps since then we have been treated to not just one, but two battle reports!

In other news, we also have these amazing paint jobs by the incredibly talented Seb Lavigne.

The first of these is Quack the Alchemist:

Next up is Friar Flavius, one of the two starter set exclusive models:

 Lastly we have Agatha Tavernfrau:

Production wise, we are nearing completion on the Deluxe Rulebook. From there it is just a case of pushing on with Wave 2 Model Manufacturing and then on to final shipping!

In the meanwhile if you are in the south of the U.K. on 25th January, then we will be attending a demo day at the 1066 Wargaming Club where we hope to provide both demonstration games, as well as bring along limited stock of Wave 1 Items!

As always, if you want to stay abreast of the latest all things Moonstone, and help make this game the best it can be, why not join the Moonstone Facebook Development Group!

Until next time

Merry Christmas from Moonstone
over 6 years ago – Sun, Dec 24, 2017 at 03:45:21 PM

Dear Moonstone Hunters,

It's that time of year again, a time for gift giving, and gift receiving, and with extreme jubilation we are proud to give you the gift of knowledge.

That is right, you can sit happy in the knowledge that as of the tail end of this week, the absolute final Wave 1 eligible pledge for Moonstone was sent out to the eagerly waiting backers!

If you were waiting on your own Wave 1 delivery, then by now you should have received your package, if not then it is most likely caught up in the mail and should be with you once the festive postage blockage clears up.

Should however you want to query your status, or have any issues that you have not yet raised with us, you can do so by emailing us at [email protected].

Already we are seeing pictures and battlereports showing you lot playing this game, and the feedback as been almost exclusively brilliant! We have had some issues reported, all of these are being treated with importance, and we are working to ensure that these are avoided, or tuned where possible in the future.

And now, we would like to give you an exclusive gift;

Straight from the painting brush of Seb Lavigne we have these amazing paint jobs, the first of which being a miniature that many of you are very familiar with by now

Dianna Queen of the Fae

With this paint job, Seb has managed to capture the look and feel of the character straight out of the concept art, including her beautiful but deadly looking wings, and subtle but powerful pose.

Boulder the Troll
Boulder the Troll

Here we have Boulder the Troll, an almost peace loving character who is terrifying when pushed too far. This is the first ever appearance of a finalised and fully painted Wave 2 miniature, so with hope, those of you who have him on your list will be receiving this terrific model yourself in only a few months time!

It is on that note that we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year, and that if you would like to play a more active part in the growing Moonstone Community, you can do so by joining the Moonstone Facebook Development Group.

Thank you

Wave 1 Moonstone Madness!
over 6 years ago – Fri, Dec 08, 2017 at 02:42:07 PM

Dear Moonstone Hunters,

Wow what an intense couple of weeks it has been! Wave 1 packages are being recieved left, right, and centre, with the last packages going out by the end of this week.

One thing that we’ve heard from a few backers is about Metal Dianna, Queen of the Fae, where she appears to be incomplete, either receiving only metal components for the wings and base, or only the body in resin:

As a result of complications with the casting process, all metal Dianna’s has their bodies upgraded to high quality resin. For metal orders, this resulted in the metal components, and the resin components, being packaged separately.

If you think you are missing part of Dianna, could we ask that you just double check, for as mentioned, they will be packaged separately. If however one of these parts are missing, then please do not hestitate to contact us through the usual channels.

In our last update we posted a request for people to submit any and all submissions of their painted models, and boy were we amazed by how quickly did we get responses!

First up is Eric the Squire by Jamie Ferrier. Jamie is actually a backer from our original campaign, and was able to also provide us with this great scene of Baron Von Fancyhat (Limited Edition) paired with Eric, facing down the infamous Firespitter!

These are fantastic! I love the use of bright colours and clean basing which really make the Miniatures pop!

Next up are two models by Daniel Humphrey:

I love the golden armour of the Viscous Midget, creating a very different dynamic for the model than previously imagined, and seeing McBoom painted is always a pleasure for me, as this character holds a certain warm place in this Goblin scribe’s heart.

But Daniel didn’t stop there! Oh no, he even provided our first ever unboxing video via his YouTube channel Ye Olde Battle Reps

We think these are all truly fantastic! And if you would like to have your works showcased in upcoming updates, please send me an email at [email protected].

Shipping Begins!
over 6 years ago – Fri, Nov 10, 2017 at 07:33:59 PM

Dear Moonstone Hunters,

It is with truly jovial joy, that I, your humble Goblin scribe, bring to you the news that as of today the first Wave 1 Box of Moonstone is leaving our distributor and heading it’s way to you the backers!

That’s right, we have had the new metal Grubs back, and now metal is complete and ready to go!

Boxed shipments ready to go!
Boxed shipments ready to go!

There has been revealed a new issue with our Dianna models in resin. Due to the casting process there has been some breakages and unacceptable shrinkage in her wings. We had sent these back to the casters, and we’ve been told that we should be getting replacements in roughly a week. What that means is that where as Resin Pledges took priority for the Pick n Pack stage, now Metal has taken priority for delivery. For this reason, complete Metal pledges have been singled out and as of today will be flying out of our distribution office to your homes!

We wanted to keep this update short and sweet, and so as always, if you want to get further involved in the future development of Moonstone, while staying abreast of the latest news, why not join the Facebook Moonstone Development Group?

Until next time
