Pick ‘n’ Pack Continues
over 6 years ago – Sat, Oct 28, 2017 at 12:18:48 AM

Dear Moonstone Hunters!

After our last update, you’ll all be pleased to note that Pick ‘n’ Pack is continuing. As you can see from below, Firestorm Games, our distributor for this campaign, have been hard at work creating our SKUs ready to be boxed up and dispatched to you!

Now let’s have a better look at those beautiful boxes shall we?

Here we have a better look at the Moonstone Starter Boxes, these have come out lovely, and have a nice size to them. Rest assured they will look brilliant displayed next to your other game boxes!

Next up is an example of our Troupe boxes, in this case the Mushroom & Meyhem Boxes.

Those familiar with our previous campaign will recognise these box styles, and with hope will greatly appreciate the time and care we have put into them.

But that’s not all, oh yes! Just look at that!

It may not seem like much, but enclosed within that stack of blue, are 6.5 trays of Troupe Boxes! With each one holding roughly 30 Boxes, that is nearly 200 Troupe Boxes right there!

Now we know what you want to know; What about dispatch and delivery?

Well we have hit another small snag. In preparing for this prior to Pick n Pack being completed, we have discovered that our listing provided by BackerKit is wrong. In short, there are a minimum of 150 items missing from the export list provided.

We have gone back to BackerKit asking to explain, and more importantly, fix this issue, and we have given them until close of play on Monday to do so. If they fail to do so, then we will be going through your order listings manually, making sure that everything you have backed and added is included, as one thing we don’t want is for anyone to miss out on these gorgeous products!

Therefore we hope that in time for the next update we will be able to give you a date on delivery. Obviously there are contingencies involved, and through the Pick n Pack process we have discovered numerous models or components which are unsuitable to send out, and for these replacements have been ordered, but should you wish to stay at the forefront of information, why not join the Moonstone Development Facebook Group?

Until next time!

Peter Piper Picked 'n' Packed a Pile of Pretty Packages
over 6 years ago – Thu, Oct 19, 2017 at 12:49:25 PM

Dear Moonstone Hunters,

We interrupt your usual two weeks to bring you news from the Tauber front! Within the deepest and darkest depths of the Goblib citadel, our very own goblin lackies have been toiling away as the Pick and Pack process begins.

Oh yes! As mentionned in Update 59, as of Monday our packing process began.

Now this is a long process, where boxes full to the brim with Moonstone goodies are first sorted into SKUs, for example, making sure all of the Barony models go into Barony boxes. Once this is done, these are then compiled into individual orders and sent out to none other than your waiting hands!

BUT before we share with you those much anticipated pictures, we need to make you all aware that we will be shortly sending out emails asking everyone to make sure that their addresses are up to date and correct on BackerKit.

This is super important, as we are hoping to begin mailing out these packages to you in little over a fortnight!

Delivery Update!
over 6 years ago – Fri, Oct 13, 2017 at 11:11:53 PM

Dear Moonstone Hunters!

We promised you an update on delivery, and the faithful squires of the Goblin King never shy away from a promise!

Today we bring you a mixture of news, some good, and some bad. In order to explain the good, it is best to start with the bad, end on a high, if you will.

The Bad

You may remember that we were having issues with Grub in metal. Sadly those issues are still present, and we have had to resort to a last ditch attempt to move forward; we have gone back to our sculptor and requested a couple of minor resculpts.

The issues present are his hands, more specifically, his fingers. On his 'non-weapon hands' they are just too fiddly to cast in metal. Therefore after a brief discussion over the Development Group, we decided that the best way forward was to resculpt his hands into fists. Now the rest of the model is unchanged and still the disgustingly beautiful character that you all know and love. In order to get this done, the sculptor has already come back with our new sculpt, and that has been sent to the incedibly helpful and supportive casters who will begin working on him first thing tomorrow (Saturday). It is estimated that including the creation of moulds and actual spins, we are looking at another 3 weeks for him to be completed.

The Good

Now we have that awful announcement out of the way, it is time to reveal the good news.

Other than Grub, delivery of all individual components for Wave 1 has been completed!

That's right, everything else for Wave 1 has been delivered to our distributors, and as of Monday they will begin the extensive Picking & Packing process for all orders which have not been affected by the Grub delay under the watchful eye of The Goblin himself!

What this means, is that if you ordered Wave 1 items only, or a mixture of Wave 1 and Wave 2, plus Split Shipping, and those items were either All Resin, or Metal, but not including the Two Player Starter Box, then your items will be part of that Pick and Pack process!

"But what comes after the Pick 'n' Pack?" I hear you ask, well my melody of Moonstoners, that is the sweet sound of delivery!

We hope that we will be able to share with you a true plethora of photos of this process actually as it happens, and if you wish to get those sooner rather than later, be sure be a member of the Facebook Development Group and help us make this game even better!

Like a tide of metal!
over 6 years ago – Fri, Sep 29, 2017 at 03:40:21 PM

Dear Moonstone Hunters,

It is with deepest sympathy that our scribe brings you tidings of bad news, namely that our latest Wave 1 projected date of 'End of September' is unfortunately being missed.

Yes, our caster has been extremely hard at work, toiling night and day, looting everything into the moulds; metal, resin, blood, sweat, tears, thumbs, you name it, but sadly the initial projection of delivery was missed.

Currently, there are issues with Grubs hands in metal, they are very small and finely detailed, which makes them very difficult to cast in metal. Diana is still being cast in resin, however her metals are fully complete, and Doug's lance is very, very hard to cast, for this reason an additional mould is being produced today so that it can be spun in tandem drastically increasing the speed of production.

But what about the rest of the models?

You have asked, and we have heard you! And we have been sent these photos from he caster, and to say that these make us happy is an understatement!

So now that you have seen the rather scary volume of metal that is currently waiting to be courierd over to our distributor, you no doubt what to know where we currently stand with readiness?

Based on current estimates, barring no further complications, by the next update, I should be sharing with you all the glorious news that everything for Wave 1 is with the distributor!

That's right, current estimates are putting completion for Wave 1 at no later than 2 more weeks, barring additional unexpected complications of course.

We hope that this extra delay is not too much of an inconvenience, and we really appreciate your continued patience in these matters. We can not stress enough how much your support and contributions to make this great game all the more greater has meant to us!

Speaking of support and contributions, should you wish to get involved and stay at the forefront of all things Moonstone, then sign up to the Moonstone Development Group on Facebook!

Gnomes on the horizon
over 6 years ago – Tue, Sep 19, 2017 at 02:30:06 AM

Dear Moonstone Hunters!

Firstly I know what you want to know, and that is about delivery and postage. Well, you will be pleased to know that we are on track with our previous update of late September.

This week our shipment of Opalite Dice arrived all the way from sunny Australia, which means we are now basically waiting for our last casts to be made and delivered, and then Wave 1 should be flying out the doors to your eagerly waiting hands!

What's more, our digital sculptors have been hard at work putting more life into the beloved Gnomes!

As you can see, Tom has really managed to capture the feel of Graddock, and that of an elder Gnome who might offer 'safe advice' to a friendly companion.

And of course, there is the extremely popular Billy, complete with his very own Battle Goat!

Once again, Dave is knocking this out of the park, the character and dynamic nature of the sculpt is exactly what we were looking for with this model! We are really looking forward to showing off the completed model with you all in due course!

As always, if you wish to get more involved and stay at the forefront of Moonstone information, you should head over to the Moonstone Development Group on Facebook!
